Historique :	Ce canot de sauvetage a été en activité durant 43 ans à la station de Portsall. Il a été retiré de l'activité de sauvetage en 1998 et a été acquis par l'association pour la conservation des anciens canots de sauvetage sous convention avec la Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer pour le conserver en l'état tel qu'il était lors de son activité de sauvetage avec mission de représentation pour la SNSM. Depuis cette date, il navigue tous les ans pour différentes manifestations nautiques : rassemblements de vieux gréements, fêtes de la mer et de la SNSM, sécurité sur les régates (voir le site internet : http://www.yvonsalaun.fr). Ce bateau de 14,50 m de long construit en 1955 au chantier Lemaistre à Fécamp, est bordé en trois plis d'acajou lamellés et rivetés. Il est équipé de huit dalots automatiques pour l'évacuation de l'eau embarquée. Il est porteur de l'histoire du sauvetage à la pointe nord-ouest du Finistère. Le bateau porte le nom d'un marin résistant mort en service commandé en février 1945. Il est visible par le public sur le port de Morlaix.
