Historique :
Le couvent des Augustins, qui était le plus important de Carhaix, a été fondé en 1372 par Conan et Yves de Quélen, barons de Vieux Chastel. Le cloître était formé de deux galeries de 18 m de long, l'un sur le flanc septentrional de la chapelle, l'autre en retour à l'est, et était ouvert au nord sur un jardin ; il a été transporté aux Etats-Unis en 1930. De la chapelle, tranformée à usage d'habitation, il ne reste que la porte inscrite sur l'Inventaire supplémentaire depuis 1931.Classement monument historique :
