contribuer à l'amélioration génétique de la Flamande, en liaison avec l'organisme de sélection de la race (O.S.) , maintenir et développer ses qualités d'élevage et sa conformation, favoriser la propagation des meilleurs reproducteurs et, d'une façon générale, assurer sur le plan technique, économique et social, la défense des intérêts professionnels de ses détenteurs ; intervient dans la promotion de la race ; participe à la commission génétique de l'OS ; désigne les représentants des éleveurs du Nord au sein du Conseil d'Administration de l'O.S. : participe à l'organisation de concours de bovins flamands, éventuellement en liaison avec les groupements agricoles et d'élevage
